TERMINAL: ORD - O'HARE AIRPORT
Home to Oprah, The Cubs, and this summer's awesome lineup at Pitchfork Music Festival is Chicago O'Hare International Airport. 17 miles from the Loop, O'Hare is credited as the world's fifth busiest airport. With the chances that you are traveling to or through O'Hare, we sought to bring you our favorite finds from within the terminal.
Wicker Park Sushi Bar
Something every traveler can agree on, is the lack of ambiance in American airport dining establishments. That is, until Wicker Park Sushi landed at O'Hare. The long, sleek bar will transport you to any downtown, name brand chef's counter with a waitlist. At Wicker Park, you will find friendly and knowledgeable servers, ready to pour you sakes, while the Itamae will dazzle you with a rainbow array of fine fish.

Nestled at either end of O'Hare, Garrett's Popcorn is a Chicago staple. Boasting 9 flavors, from Buttery to Cashew CaramelCrisp® you will no doubt find something to satisfy your snack cravings in between flights. Garrett's downtown locations are renown for their long lines, so consider yourself one trip saved!

Goose Island Beer Company
One of our favorite breweries, has nested inside Terminal 1. Up until 2011, Goose Island was considered a craft brewery (they were purchased by Anheuser-Busch for $38.8 million), however, the quality has remained much unchanged. Grab a pint and plant yourself in front of any game that happens to be playing.

Tortas Fronteras by Rick Bayless
It's no secret that we love our Mexican food here at Carry On Eats (see Albuquerque), and so it was a pleasure to discover Tortas Fronteras by Rick Bayless. With 3 locations to choose from at O'Hare, there are few excuses not to grab something fresh from Fronteras. Patrons of Bayless' restaurants are testament to the chef's commitment to serving up authentic Mexican fare, made with locally sourced ingredients. Guilt-free, frills-free, fast and delicious food is a no brainer here. Get yourself to Fronteras, should you find yourself at O'Hare!
